Why Palestinian Dates?
Not every date palm grows in the right place. The northern Jordan Valley gives Palestinian dates conditions that are difficult to reproduce anywhere else.
The lowest farmland on earth
Fasayel sits in a valley between 250 and 400 metres below sea level. The long, hot summers and mild winters push Medjoul palms through a full ripening cycle without stress, and the dry air at harvest keeps the fruit clean on the tree.
Soil and water with a long memory
The valley's alluvial soil has been farmed for millennia — the Roman-era reservoir on our land is proof of that. Today the same land is watered from a restored deep well through drip and centre-pivot systems, so each palm receives measured water rather than flooding.
Four generations, one farm
Fasayel Farms has been worked by the Al-Nimer family since 1890. The Medjoul grove was planted in 2015 by the same family that dug the well, and the offshoots replanted each season come from our own nursery — one continuous line of care, not a traded commodity.
Our Varieties
Fasayel Farms grows a single date variety — Medjoul — and grades it into three tiers after a hand harvest each September. More than 3,150 palms across 280 dunums produce over 200 tons a season.
Largest calibre
Medjoul — Jumbo
The largest fruit of the harvest, selected first at the sorting tables. Deep amber flesh, soft texture, and the grade most often requested for gifting, Ramadan and Eid boxes, and premium retail shelves.
Premium standard
Medjoul — Large
Our workhorse premium grade — consistent size and moisture across a full harvest window, which is what distributors and grocers need when they reorder through the season.
Volume grade
Medjoul — Medium
Same trees, same harvest, smaller calibre. Suited to bulk buyers, food manufacturers, and kitchens working with dates as an ingredient rather than a centrepiece.
We do not grow Deglet Noor or other varieties; if a buyer needs them, we would rather say so than mislabel our fruit.

Every date we sell is grown on our own land in Fasayel village, Jericho Governorate, in the northern Jordan Valley of the West Bank, Palestine. Nothing is bought in and relabelled.
Medjoul (also written Medjool or Majhool). It is the only date variety we cultivate, graded after harvest into Jumbo, Large and Medium.
No. Fasayel Farms grows Medjoul only. We prefer to be clear about that rather than supply another variety under our name.
The main harvest is in September. Picking follows the fruit rather than a fixed calendar, so the window shifts slightly with the season.
